Sadly I think I am back at square one. It looks like I am going to have to build my boat on land before I can sail away. My wife found a nice Outre Mer that she likes so that may be the solution.

A stable, enclosed workspace, with environmental controls can be achieved a number of ways, given modern mooring methods.
A Tension-leg platform, or semis submersible with taut moorings would be sufficient, if such stability were necessary, without the added structural complexity necessary to support a vessel that depends on being beached, for stability.
